About me
KijijiLink - It takes a Village, Care in Crisis
Doris Magiri, founder of KijijiLink, is a visionary leader and survivor. She has led large-scale enterprise technology transformations in aerospace, medical devices, and manufacturing, driving innovation and optimizing systems across industries. Doris is also a survivor of mental health challenges and suicide, and she uses her story to inspire and empower others. Today, she brings together her technical expertise and lived experience to inform every aspect of her work. Her deep passion for addressing these crises comes down to a simple, though transformational, mantra: “technology may link us, but it is the Kijiji, the village, that truly holds us, heals us, and reminds us that we belong.”
KijijiLink is Doris’s brainchild: a tech-enabled platform dedicated to preserving African languages and cultural heritage while advancing mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Through digital archives, mobile apps, and virtual workshops, the platform empowers users to reconnect with their roots, explore cultural teachings, and engage in collective healing. This innovative approach to using technology for social good is paving the way for a more inclusive and supportive world.
